My TWENTY-THIRD

Time flies. It's already September!
Since UniSim blackboard is down again and I'm unable to do my sch work, so using the time to update this space.
I really had wonderful time during the last 3 days of August.
29 Aug, my actual 23rd birthday which I spent with my favourite ones, BFFs
30 Aug, spent it with girlfriends
31 Aug, went JB with Vonne

So here's so pictures! Quality not the best since they were taken using iPhone.

Colleagues bought a birthday cake from Flor Patisserie for me! The cake is yummy! :)
Have yet to get other photos for my co, so here's only the cake photo first!

Went to Switch by Timbre on 29 Aug with BFFs.
Really glad that I picked this place. It's damn nice to chill, listen to some chinese and english music!
Better than Timbre because it's indoor and got aircon. Unlike the usual Timbre where most seats are outdoor and end up sweating....

Switch's ground rule is that everyone must at least order a drink, any kind of drink.
This is our first drink! :)

The popular Timbre's pizza are available here too!
Seafood pizza.

Duck pizza. Forever so good! :)

Seafood Risotto. Disappointing cos the rice were too hard.

Salted Egg Yolk Prawn. Not too bad.

Illusions shots! Awesome, taste damn nice!

Cheers to my 23rd birthday!!!

The favourite ones who spent the night with me!
12 years of friendship and still counting...

BFF!

Thanks to them, I joined the Pandora club!!! :)

Thanks BFFs!!!

My Hello Kitty films are soooo cute!!!

Thank you all for celebrating my birthday with me!
Special guest, Elgin. Thanks for the cake! :)
Photo credit: Jiaqi who is busy editing it when we were at Switch! Hahaha!

Singyee's car was stucked in SMU's carpark when we left Switch at 12.15am.
Luckily security was there to open the gate for us to drive out the car! Phew~
That's all for 29 Aug 2013!
Birthday celebration don't end on 29 Aug! ...

My colleague and I went to Eggs & Berries at Changi City Point to have lunch on Friday, 30 Aug.
It's my first time going there and we picked Eggs & Berries cos it has no queue! Wahaha!
My colleague, Jiahui is damn nice! She paid for the lunch as my birthday treat! Hehehe!
Not the best place to have brunch, but at least the french toast were really soft.
Thanks JH for the lunch treat!

Went to MooJaa to celebrate my birthday with girlfriends.
The place was quite highly recommended but I think I'm not going back.
Although it said to have better ventilation but we still left the place smelly and I think they don't have very good service too.
What I makes me don't want to go back is that the meat are too bland.
Although they served good quality meat like angus beef and kurobuta pork but all meat were bland. I prefer Tom Yum Kungfu so much more than MooJaa!
I like the fish skin and cheese balls but still not enough to make me go back...

I really like mookata! If only it won't make me stink after the meal....

The girls actually bought a slice of cake from Brunetti! The cake is super yummy!
Next time I wanna try other cakes from Brunetti!

We went to Drips Bakery Cafe after dinner to have desserts!
I was looking forward to having their giant tarts but all they left was the slice tart. Shouldn't make much difference la but the flavours left were very little... :(
So we had Raspberry Almond tart, Macadamia tart, Special Mazipan Tart and New York Cheesecake!
I love the Raspberry tart the most! Actually I think all taste quite good.

And, I love the iced green tea latte!

Me & the girls!!!

Thanks Chris for the polariod! :)

Thank you girlfriends for the gift!
I was looking for a bag recently and now that they gave me one, I think I can don't buy it at the moment! :)
I'm definitely going to use the bag soon but the problem is, my water bottle is huge and it can't fit into the bag! Hahaha! So if I'm bringing this bag, I need to use a smaller bottle. But using it during weekends will be perfect! :)
And I'm super in love with the Pandora charms they bought for me! Especially the cupcake one!

Close up of the lovely charms!!!

Ended birthday celebrations with two major cliques!

Face of the day for Saturday.
Went JB with Vonne! First time going JB with her!

Had Blackball in JB. Freaking cheap. Only RM6.90!

Dinner was good too! Ate so much that day!
We had hokkien mee, highly recommended crayfish, vege and loklok!!!
I want to try cereal crayfish next time I'm there! The butter crayfish was good but too sweet. The crayfish was very fresh thou!

Luckily nothing happened to us and came back to Singapore safely :)
I hope to go JB with rest of my favourites ones! Will plan one soon!

I'm officially TWENTY THREE now!
I'm so blessed to have such wonderful friends. I always feel super thankful to know each of them cos they are always so fun, nice and always there for me! Thank you all of you! Love you all!!!
May our friendship continues to forever.........

Goodnight Everyone. It's Monday again... :(

BracesJourney 08 & updates on L I F E

Back here to share the 8th months with braces.
Anyway, these photos are back in March. I don't think I've any photos for the April-June.
I forgot to take photos for April & May, I think. And skipped my braces appt for a month.
So probably I WILL have July ones because I'm still wearing the July ones now and am going for my dental appt tmr. This means, I'm gonna take photos of it after posting this!

Check out the photos below! I'm wearing the same colour now - baby blue! :)

Ok that's all. I need about another 10 months before removing it.
That will be around mid next year! Ohgosh... I thought I could remove it early next year since it's progressing well... but.... too bad got to have it longer than I thought.

Anyway I've been away on this space for longer than a month.
I don't really have so much time now once school started and I'm still trying to manage my time.
I was overwhelmed during the first 2-3 weeks! The amount of sch work just keeps coming in. Not that I don't have sch work now, but I guess I'm slightly better on managing it?! I don't know yet but actually I'm just lazy to do my work tonight. I went for a jog and don't feel like doing anything when I'm back.
So here am I blogging away.

School is depleting my energy and time that I don't really have time to exercise.
I didn't went for a jog nearly a month. I'm using Runtastic app to track.
22 Jul was the day sch started. 23 Jul was my last jog until tonight. I need to find time to exercise!

I got to clear some sch work over this weekend and next week will be great! There shouldn't be much sch work next week but definitely a lot of office work instead. I got to give trainings to 3 different groups of people. Wish me luck!
AND, my birthday is on next Thursday!!! Whoohoo!
I'm still trying to make plans with my lovely friends.
Hopefully can find some time to blog on how I spend my birthday...

Ok, it's getting late. Gonna go to bed!
Goodnight.

BracesJourney 07

Spent months to blog on my Taiwan trip so I'm finally back with some updates on braces.
The below photos are taken about 5 months ago, in late February.
I've another set of braces photos (March ones) to share but will do it in another post.
However, I forgot to take photos on my braces process for the past 2 mths.

Anyway so here are the photos!
Chose orange this time round cos it was during Chinese New Year! Hahaha!

Cheers to straight and neat bottom row teeth!

Ok, can tell I still got a bit of bunny teeth here!

That's all and I'll post the next set of braces photos soon!
Hope everyone is enjoying your Sunday although the Monday Blues will kick in very soon!
I'm just rotting away at home with some drama for today!
Going to take my nap now!
Bye .....

TAIWAN January2013, Day07

I'm finally down to the last day of my Taiwan trip!

I guessed the last day was good for everyone because our parents got to shop on their own around Ximending and even managed to get something they liked and ate yummy food too!
Whereas for the young us, we went to Jay Chou's new tofu restaurant- 藤原豆腐 (Fujiwara Tofu Shop)
The place was a little hard to find as the signage was not prominent.
From the name of the shop, you can easily tell the theme of the shop is from Initial D.

TADAH! The legendary AE86 parked right INSIDE the shop!!!

Attention was even given to small details like the lightings.

Side dishes which comes with the meal and that's a milk tea!

豆腐乳風海鮮味豆腐 Fermented Bean Curd Seafood Salad
The serving was soooo huge!

醬香干貝培根串 BBQ Scallop wrapped with Bacon

Mentaiko Fried Fish! OMG!!! So damn yummy!

Check out the size of it! It's twice the length of a Samsung Note!
Crazily huge!

藤原風豬排大阪燒 Pork Cutlet Okonomiyaki
Brother ordered this cos he wanted the car shaped rice! -_-

AE86鮭魚飯糰 Salmon Rice Ball
It's in a car shaped, so cuteee!

藤原家爆漿豬排蓋飯 Pork Cutlet with Rice
You may think it looks normal on the outside but check out the next photo!

BOMB!!! All the sauce oozed out from the pork cutlet! Really 爆漿!

Lastly, of course we took a photo with AE86 before leaving but sadly not a very well taken photo!

We met up with our parents and headed to National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine 忠烈祠.

It was just nice when we reached it was time to change the guards.

Smart looking guard.
It must be super tiring to stand like this and not moving for half an hour.

It was close to 5pm which is the last round of changing of guards therefore we were unable to go inside to have a look. All we could do was to walk around at the outdoor area and we waited for the last round of marching.

Papa , Mama & Me .

Here's the last marching for that day.

Really neat marching!

We moved on to the last night market for this Taiwan Trip!
SHILIN NIGHT MARKET!!!
It's my first time here at the new location after they moved.

Spotted 豪大大鸡排 right at the side of the entrance!
Of course we grabbed a chicken cutlet before moving on...

This prawning stall caught our attention and we played 2 rounds before hunting for food.
It was really not that easy to do it but definitely fun!

Smelly Tofu!
Not that smelly for this and much better than the one I had during my first trip to Taiwan.
I really like how crispy it is on the outside.

Tempura aka 天婦羅 in Taiwan!
To me, it basically just taste like fishcake...

I can't believe I didn't had shaved ice when I was there during Summer yet I'm having it during Winter.
Oh gosh... I'm definitely going back for more of these!!! Too good!

I LOVE CONDENSED MILK!!!
We actually went back to the stall and asked for more condensed milk when we're halfway done with it.

Irresistible Mango Shaved Ice with lots of condensed milk!!!
Missing this right now!

Keep seeing this little crabs selling around so bought one small plates to try.
It was very crispy and nice! They actually top it off with salt & pepper so it doesn't taste bland.

My two brothers who are beef lovers had steak again....
But this was really good! If I wasn't that full, I might have ordered one for myself.
It only cost NT250 for one plate! So damn cheap!!!
The steak was really soft and I like it a lot! (P.S. I tried my brother's food la..)

Coffin Shaped Bread 棺材板 !
My first time trying this and it was very unique.
It is actually thick deep-fried toast that’s cut into four pieces at the top where all ingredients is buried within it. And you can choose the ingredients you like.

We stopped by this shop to have a bowl of pork ribs soup because we were missing the ones from Raohe!

Small Bun in Big Bun 大餅包小餅
The name might sound funny because that's the direct translation.
What it really is, small crunchy and crispy bun will be smashed and wrapped by popiah skin!
The flavours can be sweet or savory.

Very grumpy lady smashing the bun. What a great way to de-stress huh?

This is not the best stall to have 大腸包小腸.
Other places definitely has better ones!
BUT.... the gigantic sausage was nice!

Yeah! This is the gigantic sausage I'm talking about!

The parents went back to hotel first to do the packing and stuff.
The night was still young for the youngsters like us!!! Hahaha! :)
We spent a crazy amount playing Mahjong Bingo and lastly ending the night with prawning again!
The games were too addictive!

That's my younger bro! The prawning pro! He caught so many of it and we brought back 15 prawns and enjoyed it in the hotel before we sleep!

Yep! So this concludes my 8 days Taiwan trip in January!
No pictures for last day as we came back in the morning.
Enjoyed this trip a lot because explored many different places I've never been to.
I'm still missing Taiwan food a lot....!

Anyway, next up will be my Tokyo trip! :)
